The Role of Navigation in Cancer Care ECHO

The Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island, in collaboration with the Rhode Island Health Center Association, the Rhode Island Public Health Association, and other valued partners, has created a Project ECHO training focused on specialized cancer patient navigation.

This training is designed for navigators, community health workers, and both clinical and non-clinical professionals, empowering them to better support individuals, caregivers, and families navigating the challenges of cancer. While this Project ECHO will share Rhode Island-specific resources and health systems, it is open to the public and relevant to participants in other states. Topics covered include the history of patient navigation, understanding cancer types and screening guidelines, patient communication, data collection, understanding insurance plans, and more.
