Dr. Amity Rubeor oversees the residency’s orthopedic and sports medicine curriculum and precepts in the residency’s Sports Medicine Clinic. Previously, she served as the department’s inaugural Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellow and worked as a clinical team leader for the Brown Family Medicine Residency. Currently, in addition to practicing primary care and sports medicine in the community, she is one of the team physicians at Providence College. Her areas of interest include musculoskeletal ultrasound, pediatric/adolescent overuse injuries, and performance medicine. She is a graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she completed a pre-doctoral fellowship in anatomy and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. After graduating from the Brown Family Medicine Residency in 2005, she completed a faculty development fellowship at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. Dr. Rubeor enjoys teaching at the medical student, resident, and fellow level. Outside of medicine, Dr. Rubeor enjoys spending time with her family and friends and racing in obstacle course races.
