Benji Cole, MD
Biography
Hey! I'm Benji. I grew up with two siblings, many pets and more energy than was good for me. Eventually, I mellowed out and found my way to Tufts University for both Undergrad (where I studied Community Health & Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies) then Medical School. I knew that FM was for me when I noticed that all my mentors were FM docs who practiced with a deep sense of social justice while having dynamic careers (and lives). In Medical school I organized with local immigrant communities, worked as a street medic during protests and was the student delegate on the MassAFP starting a few statewide programs.
I chose Brown FM for its commitment to social justice, global health, its proximity to my family, and its broad scope including strong OB. I'm thrilled to be starting residency with such inspiring and passionate co-residents while living by my twin, twister-in-law and twephew.
You can catch me out of the clinic at morning meditation, board game nights, hiking or reading sci/fi or non-fiction.
