David Woods, MD
Biography
Greetings! My name is David Woods, and I was born and raised in the wonderful city of Washington, DC and the incomparable PG county in Maryland. My undergraduate education was completed at Cornell University, and I earned my master's degree from UMUC in Adelphi, MD. Prior to matriculating to Howard University College of Medicine, I worked as a biologist for more than 9 years at the National Institutes of Health (ask me about woodchucks!). Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing and watching various sports, reading the occasional book, writing, trips to the beach, and archery, amongst other things.
I am blessed to be joining the Brown Family Medicine Residency. The residents, faculty, and staff were warm and inviting. I am excited to learn with and from my co-residents and to explore the great state of Rhode Island.
