Biography
I’m from just outside of Boston but grew up spending lots of time in Narragansett, always passing through Providence. I’ve always felt split between urban and rural environments, with my interests—both in and out of medicine—spanning both ways of life. Working in rural Ontario and Hawai‘i confirmed how much I value being close to nature and part of a close-knit community. During medical school, I was an AHEC Rural Health Scholar, where I saw how broad-spectrum family medicine can empower physicians to care for as many people as possible in any setting.
While I found joy in small-town life, I was also committed to training at a program that would prepare me to serve diverse, underserved populations and offer specific opportunities in advocacy, adolescent medicine, and reproductive health—experiences that often require the resources of a city. Providence offers the perfect balance: a strong sense of community, access to the outdoors, and rich, full-spectrum training rooted in equity, diversity, and the academic opportunities of Brown.
My favorite part of family medicine is being surrounded by people who truly value the full personhood of our patients—and of ourselves. Outside of medicine, you can find me dancing salsa, practicing yoga, singing (mainly in the shower but sometimes at weddings!), and finding any excuse to play outside.
