Biography
In a residency program, I was looking for a place that fosters community-centered family medicine, encourages a collaborative and welcoming learning environment, as well as nurturing a supportive residency team that works well together. I was also looking for a strong Osteopathic curriculum, Trans healthcare education and practice, and a deeply rooted women’s health practice. I was hoping for a program within New England that would reflect my future patient population as I am from the area and plan to practice in the area. I found that Kent fulfilled all these criteria, and when I rotated with the Kent team, it felt like I could make a home there! The last thing I was looking for was easy access to the outdoors, and with the abundance of parks, walkable streets and beaches, Providence had my heart!
I love to spend as much time as I can outdoors: hiking, running, walking, snowshoeing, or just sitting outside enjoying the sunshine! When indoors, I like to practice yoga and work out. I absolutely love to cook and bake and try out new recipes I’ve created (my current specialty is banana bread). When I make the time, I like to paint and journal as creative outlets. I also love to read really nerdy sci-fi/fantasy books before I go to bed. As for medical interests, I love exploring osteopathic philosophy and practice as well as learning more about Trans and women’s health!
