Dr. Odinaka Anyanwu is the Assistant Director of the Brown Family Medicine Global Health Fellowship and a faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine. She completed her residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas and went on to complete the Brown Family Medicine Global Health and Maternal Child Health Fellowships concurrently.
Dr. Anyanwu is the Family Medicine lead for BRIGHT (Brown Residency International/Global Health Training). Her research interests include point of care ultrasound, advancing equity in obstetrical care, global health education, and equitable academic global health collaborations.
She chairs the equity subcommittee of the Global Health Advisory Committee and serves as a global health consultant for the American Academy of Family Physicians Family Medicine Cares International program. She was recently recognized with the FMEC Emerging Leader Award.
In her free time, Dr. Anyanwu enjoys powerlifting, traveling, and studying the Igbo language.
