Sara Holmes, MD
Biography
I am thrilled to be a part of the Brown Family Medicine team! I was born and raised in Massachusetts and attended Tufts University. After undergrad I moved out to Lake Tahoe, California and spent 7 years as a ski and downhill mountain bike patrol EMT. I then spent 3 years working for Vail Resorts in Colorado, with a short stint in Jackson, Wyoming. I love the mountains and hope to practice medicine in a rural, underserved setting.
Brown’s full-spectrum training is perfect for someone like me who wants to someday practice where resources are low. I am also a part of Brown’s Rural Track which will allow me to spend several months training on Block Island. My favorite things about the Brown Family Medicine Residency so far are my co-residents. They already feel like family, and we laugh together a lot!
I also really enjoy life outside of medicine! Spending quality time with friends attending live music events is one of my favorite things to do. My family has a swimming pool construction business, so I always love to build pools with them when time allows. My other hobbies are snowboarding, skateboarding, riding bikes downhill, and playing tennis.
