Family Medicine

Hi everyone! I'm Veronica. I was born and raised in San Diego, California and received my undergraduate degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I moved out to the Northeast 4 years ago to attend Tufts University School of Medicine for my medical degree. I am so excited to stay in New England for the next step in my medical journey. I was drawn to Brown FM due to their commitment of full spectrum care in a primarily underserved, community setting. My partner and I are also incredibly excited to live close by to his family.

During my third year, I enjoyed aspects of every core rotation but had not quite found one that encompassed all my interests in medicine, until I ended with Family Medicine. I love that in FM you can pursue a variety of interests within your practice and also take care of the entire family over the course of their lifetime! Specifically in FM I'm interested in diabetes care, adolescents/pediatrics, nutrition, and women's health.

Outside of medicine, you can find me cooking Mexican food, baking cookies, doing puzzles, reading, and exploring the outdoors.
