The Brown Department of Family Medicine congratulates Dr. Kim Leon, RES’23, on being named the Kent Hospital Community Doctor of the Year and Dr. Kira Neel, RES22, on being honored as the Kent Hospital Pawtucket Campus Doctor of the Year.
Dr. Leon is the Head of Geriatric Education and an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Brown. Leon graduated from Columbia University Medical School and completed residency with Brown Family Medicine in 2023. Dr. Leon is a primary care physician at Affinity Family Medicine in Pawtucket and acts as Medical Director of the Jeanne Jugan Little Sisters of the Poor Nursing Home.
Dr. Neel is the Associate Academic Director of FMOB, Pawtucket and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Brown. Dr. Neel graduated from the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University and then completed residency with Brown Family Medicine in 2022. Currently her work focuses on improving access to and reducing disparities in reproductive health, prenatal care, deliveries and postpartum care, and early childhood development.
