Family Medicine

Hi, I'm Alexis from Texas! I was born in the border city of El Paso, but I bounced around the big cities of Texas. I attended The University of Texas at Austin where I got my Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology with a Business Foundations Certificate. I graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston for medical school. In medical school, I was involved with Medical Students for Choice and my school's Office of Diversity and Inclusion. I am passionate about Medical Spanish, Reproductive Health, Gender-Affirming Care, and Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity. My special interests include Integrative Medicine, Dermatology, and Family Planning. I chose the Brown Family Medicine program because I resonated with the program's mission and values. I appreciated the culture of collaboration and community. Most importantly, I chose Brown Family Medicine because I wanted to be surrounded by the kind and compassionate faculty and residents.
