Biography

Dr. Arena completed her Family Medicine residency at NY Columbia Presbyterian, where she served as chief resident. She completed a mini fellowship in Reproductive Health at Rochester University Department of Family Medicine and a Faculty Leadership Development Fellowship at Brown. Before joining the faculty, she taught in community health centers in Boston, served as the medical director at Stanley Street Treatment and Resources and started a private micropractice. She serves as the Co-Director of Medical Student Education, the director of the FM sub-internship, and faculty advisor for the Family Medicine Interest group and the Women's Clinic at ClĂnica Esperanza/Hope Clinic. She is the RI co-cluster leader for the Reproductive Health Access Project, and is active with Brown Human Rights Asylum Clinic. She teaches in the colposcopy and suboxone clinics in the residency.
