Christopher Bayston, MD, MSc
Biography
Hey hey hey! I’m so happy to be staying at Brown for Family Medicine residency. Originally, I’m from the Chicagoland area and went to Northwestern University for undergrad. After undergrad, I spent a couple years co-teaching high schoolers in a course called STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Design Thinking & Innovation before coming to Rhode Island for medical school!
In medical school, I was part of the Primary Care-Population Medicine program where I obtained an MSc in Population Medicine along with my MD. Many of the Brown Family Med faculty are involved in this program, convincing me to stay to continue working with and learning from those wonderful people. The program’s emphasis on caring for the underserved, including opportunities to explore clinical interests such as gender care and family planning, also drew me to this program.
Outside of medicine, I love to play pop music on the piano, do puzzles while listening to audiobooks, and hike around the many forests and beaches the state offers!
