Biography
Christopher Bayston, MD, MSc, originally from Chicagoland area, earned his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University before completing medical school at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Prior to medical school in Rhode Island, Bayston spent a couple of years co-teaching high schoolers in a course called STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Design Thinking & Innovation.

Many of the Brown Family Medicine faculty were involved in this program, convincing Bayston to stay in Rhode Island and continue working with and learning from those wonderful people. What drew Bayston to the family medicine residency program was the emphasis on caring for the underserved, including opportunities to explore clinical interests such as gender care and family planning.
Outside of medicine, Bayston loves to play pop music on the piano, do puzzles while listening to audiobooks, and hike around the many forests and beaches in Rhode Island.
