Elizabeth Wright, DO
Biography
I spent a majority of my third year of medical school at Kent Hospital and, during that time, I fell in love with the Brown Family Medicine Program in Warwick. The community feel within the program as well as its passion for the health and wellbeing of patients and residents make me excited to work in the hospital and the Thundermist Health Clinic. I knew I wanted to go to residency at a program with an FQHC that takes care of the urban underserved. Kent Hospital not only tics this box, but also prioritizes healthcare advocacy and health equity, and will allow me to pursue interest in lifestyle medicine. During my time with the program, I found that many of the residents and attendings cared deeply about how they approach illness and optimize patient health, which is something I share. I’m thrilled to be part of this program!
I’m an avid cook who enjoys exploring local restaurants around Providence and going to the Providence farmers market almost every weekend in the summer and fall. I love exploring Providence and other cities on my search for the best latte. I also like venturing up to New Hampshire and Maine for much needed hiking and nature time. I’m excited to be in Rhode Island for the next three years to explore the mixture of urban and nature leisure activities!
