Rose Thatcher, MD
Biography
Hello everyone! My name is Rose and I’m originally from Orlando, FL. I went to the University of Miami for undergrad where I studied biomedical engineering. During that time, I had the opportunity to work on exciting projects improving the devices we use in medicine. Throughout my studies, I realized I wanted to work directly with patients, so I moved to Tampa, FL where I attended USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Throughout medical school, I was involved with the health disparities scholarly concentration and frequently volunteered in local free clinics. These experiences led me to pursue family medicine as a specialty and focus on underserved populations. I chose the Brown Family Medicine residency because of the focus on health equity and full spectrum care. I am excited to be part of a program that shares my interests in reproductive health, preventative health, and academic medicine. In my free time, you can find me hiking, kayaking, reading a book, experimenting with vegan cooking, or playing tennis!
